Description

Okay, peeps. I need serious input on this one.

First off, it's an Artistic Makeover for Eddy, who I felt needed to look more like, well, he actually does. XD After all, I kept Edd's oblong head and Ed's long neck, so I figured I needed to give Eddy's face the chubbiness it has, plus get rid of the majority of his neck. XD
So, how do you like this new look? Don't worry, in Solar Eclipse, he'll remain the same. I'm just thinking towards the future here.

Second part: the coloring.
After seeing this AMAZING tutorial [link] , I simply had to give it a shot. Figured I might as well start now and get used to it. And this tutorial really helped spell it out for me and get started.
I DID use a few different techniques, though. Like, I used the Brush instead of Pencil, because of my soft pencil lineart. Using the Magic Wand tool with that was really tricky, but with JUST the right Tolerance selection, I got it going on like Diddy Kong.
None of that shading is Burning or Dodging. I colored using flats set up in the tutorial, then shaded with lowered opacity brushes at various tones.
I'm especially happy with the skin tones. Darkening with purple really worked! Wow!
Now, go a little easy on me, as this is my first try at this type of coloring. But I would definitely like some pointers on how I can do better next time.

As for the drawing itself goes... yeah. Ignore that hand clutching his collar, I already know that's terrible. XD

Anyways... yeah. Subscribers, hit me with it, please! Tell me how I can do this better! XD

PS: Don't worry, the next page is ready to color, I'm just waiting for the sun to go down so I can actually see what I'm coloring. XD Since the pages are really dark right now.

I don't really like these critiques too much, but only because you're forced to wrtie a certain amount.

Sometimes, I feel that I can say enough in fewer than 100 words, but it won't let me. Needless to say, that's why I'm taking up space with this explanation.

Seriously, a very nice piece here. The one thing that really jumps out at me is the excellent shadowing effects, how the light plays on the wrinkles of his clothes. The subtle lines all over really help the picture, and his hair was done with perfect gravity effect.
His expression and where he has his hand is idiosyncratically Eddy.
The only thing that's a bit off is Eddy's hand itself, but I'm sure you already know that.
Overall, nice work. Keep doing what you're doing.
