...and I had an urge to draw Krystal for the first time in forever. That's basically the purpose of this drawing. Really. XD In truth, Krystal always intimidated me; my own mentor looked at her and said she had a very awkward facial design. I was never satisfied with the way I drew her. But now that I understand shape and structure, I decided to tackle her on again. And I'm quite happy with the result. Prismacolor again. So bitchin'. Little challenging, 'cause in my set, the primary blue had no lead in it, so I'm stuck missing a blue. XD But I guess I can go replace it later. A note: her head's titled up. Kays? So much fun.
I only heard of Krystal once.Or twice.Let's start with the negatives, shall we? If you were trying to make the head tilted back, you shouldn't have made her head so...squarish.Shave off that square stuff and smooth it out with a bit of fur,and we might have solved that problem. The armor looks like it has just been slopped on,as if there were only five minutes that you had left to complete the lineart. The hair has the exact same problem, too. And the paws look...A bit flatish. The positives. The tail looks....amazing.The jewelry looks...Good.And the colors are quite precise. As I have stated earlier, the whole thing looks rushed, unlike the rest of your epic artwork. I'm just giving out the facts,Live with it.
I'm not as familiar with Krystal as I should be, so I'm going purely on my knowledge of art technique and the like.
I admit, I wouldn't have known her head was tilted upward if you hadn't said so.
I must say, I like this a lot. The anatomy looks good, her facial expression seems appropriate, and her posture seems semi-relaxed. From what I know about Krystal (which is next to nil anyway), this is good. The shading is smooth and consistent. And I like the detail on her accessories (like the leg adornments).
If I had to pick something that would need improvement, again, the head is difficult to tell that it is tilted back. I honestly don't know how one would make that more apparent... so take that for what it's worth.
That's about it, I can't think of more to say. I hope this helps!

There's no way to truly settle this argument without knowing two things: which side would Mr. T choose, and would Chuck Norris stand with him or against him?
XD I remember when mah sister was obssessed with that game one summer!

Awesome work you did on Krystal here, hun. Been a while since you've done her. Now I hope that Nintendo gets in the ball to reveal a new Starfox Wii game soon and next year now is the right time for them to do it.

"Won't fall for this old trick." - Leon S. Kennedy(Resident Evil 4) "Never give up. Trust your instincts." - James McCloud(Starfox 64)
SFA is such an underrated game. It may be short, but it's still fun.
Wish it had become Dinosaur Planet (N64) instead though, Krystal had a much larger role there. D:
